The Mary I. Huntley collection consists of two audiocassette tapes, a CD duplicate of the audiocassette, a transcript, and a biographical form and interview outline of an oral history interview conducted between Huntley and Marsha Danielson in January 2007. In this interview, Huntley talks about her family, her experience as a child of Mankato State Teachers College employees, her experience as a student at Mankato State College, and her experience as a faculty member at Minnesota State University. Kennes Huntley is an additional narrator in this oral history.
This oral history interview was conducted as part of the Tell Your MSU Story Oral History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Mary Ione Hesla was born May 13, 1940 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. She graduated from Mankato High School and attended Mankato State Teachers College where both her parents were employed. She graduated with a nursing degree in 1962 and married Kennes Huntley that year. They moved to Duluth where Huntley worked as a registered nurse at Miller Hospital. They then moved to Iowa to attend graduate school at the University of Iowa at Iowa City where Huntley graduated with a degree in psychiatric mental health nursing in 1967. She became a part-time employee at Minnesota State College in 1968 and a faculty member in 1970. Huntley took a sabbatical to study for her PhD at Texas Womens University from 1986-1988. Her two children are both Mankato State University alumni.

The Victor Oyesile collection consists of an audio recording, biographical form, and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Oyesile and Zeara Alvarez in April 2011. Oyesile attended Minnesota State University, Mankato from 2008-2012. In this interview, Oyesile talks about his family, coming to Minnesota State University, Mankato, his daily life and some memories of campus.
This oral history interview was conducted as part of the Tell Your MSU Story Oral History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Victor Oyesile was born February 27, 1991 in Lagos, Nigeria. He immigrated to the United States in 1999, following his grandparents. Oyesile graduated from North Branch High School in 2008 and started at Minnesota State University, Mankato in Fall 2008. At the time of the interview, Oyesile was a junior, majoring in Nursing.
