The Emmanuel Asamoa collection consists of an audio recording, biographical form, and interview outline of an oral history interview conducted between Asamoa and Zeara Alvarez in November 2010. Asamoa has been attending Minnesota State University, Mankato since 2007. In this interview, Asamoa talks about his experiences as a student athlete, his involvement in the extracurricular activities and his first experiences coming to Minnesota State University, Mankato.

Emmanuel Asamoa was born and raised in Ghana, East Africa. He came to the United States when he was eleven, and he attended and graduated high school in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has been on the Dean's list and participated in organizations such as the African Student Association (ASA), research teams for his major, Biochemistry, and he also volunteers at the local YMCA as a mentor. He also has held different jobs while in school. His career plans after graduating with his Bachelor's in Biochemistry and to continue on to graduate school.

The Marcius Brock collection consists of an audio recording, biographical form, and interview outline of an oral history interview conducted between Brock and Zeara Alvarez in November 2010. Brock has been is employed by Minnesota State University, Mankato since 2005. In this interview, Brock talks about his cultural transition from Detroit, MI to Mankato, Minnesota. He describes his experiences as an employee at MSU, and how culture has shifted since he began working there in 2005.
This oral history interview was conducted as part of the Tell Your MSU Story Oral History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Marcius R. Brock was born in Ypsilanti, Michigan and raised in Detroit, Michigan. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Michigan as well. Before he went to Minnesota State University, Mankato he worked at the University of Michigan for seven years. He moved his wife and his children to St. Peter when he accepted the job at MSU. Marcius R. Brock is the Registrar at Minnesota State University, Mankato. He began work in June of 2005. He assists in approving the schedule for all classes before students get to see them while helping students with day-to-day issues regarding graduation, credit transfers and evaluations.

This collection consists of a folder, an audiocassette tape, and a CD duplicate of the audiocassette tape of an oral history interview conducted with Emma Wiecking in 1977. Wiecking graduated from the State Normal School at Mankato, and was a longtime librarian at the Mankato State Teachers College. In the interview, Wiecking discussed her youth in Mankato, her experiences as a student at the Normal School, personalities who have attended or worked on the faculty of Mankato State Teachers College, and her memories of life in Mankato.
Emma Wiecking was born in Mankato in August 1894. She attended the State Normal School at Mankato, the University of Minnesota, and the Library School of the New York Public Library, and would later receive her master's degree from Columbia University. She worked in the library at Mankato State Teachers College for 37 years, retiring in 1959. Emma Wiecking died in April 1992.

Huntley collection consists of two audiocassette tapes, a CD duplicate of the audiocassette, a transcript, and a biographical form and interview outline of an oral history interview conducted between Huntley and Marsha Danielson in January 2007. In this interview, Huntley talks about her family, her experience as a child of Mankato State Teachers College employees, her experience as a student at Mankato State College, and her experience as a faculty member at Minnesota State University. Kennes Huntley is an additional narrator in this oral history.

Mary Ione Hesla was born May 13, 1940 in Mountain Lake, Minnesota. She graduated from Mankato High School and attended Mankato State Teachers College where both her parents were employed. She graduated with a nursing degree in 1962 and married Kennes Huntley that year. They moved to Duluth where Huntley worked as a registered nurse at Miller Hospital. They then moved to Iowa to attend graduate school at the University of Iowa at Iowa City where Huntley graduated with a degree in psychiatric mental health nursing in 1967. She became a part-time employee at Minnesota State College in 1968 and a faculty member in 1970. Huntley took a sabbatical to study for her PhD at Texas Womens University from 1986-1988. Her two children are both Mankato State University alumni.
