A picture of Mankato State University president, Margaret R. Preska (holding shovel), Dr. Claire Faust (left of Preska) and three other men gathered outside of the Wiecking Center building for a ground-breaking ceremony, 1970s. Preska was the Vice President for Academic Affairs and an Equal Opportunity Officer. She became president of the university in 1975. Faust was the principal of the Wilson Campus School, which previously occupied the Wiecking Center.
