Otto Arena's renovation was part of an athletics facilities improvement program that began in the early 2000s' and included the construction of Myers Field House and renovation of the rest of its facilities. (Combined with the Taylor Center, MSU saw about $43 million in improvements in three phases to its athletics offerings.)
