The Tory Garrett collection consists of an audio recording, biographical form, and interview outline of an oral history interview conducted between Garrett and Zeara Alvarez in April 2011. Garrett attended Minnesota State University, Mankato from 2009-2011. In this interview, Garrett talks about being an athlete at Minnesota State University, Mankato, his family life, and activities that he does outside of campus.
This oral history interview was conducted as part of the Tell Your MSU Story Oral History Project conducted by the Southern Minnesota Historical Center at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Tory Garrett was born July 2, 1988 in Flint, Michigan. Garrett attended Flint Central High School, where he graduated from in 2007. Garrett began at Minnesota State University, Mankato in 2009 to play football. At the time of the interview, Garrett was working toward a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering Technology.
