SMHC 1492 Audio Kline
The Geraldine Kline collection consists of an audiocassette tape, a CD duplicate of the audiocassette, and transcript of an oral history interview conducted between Kline and Julie Wolner during the autumn of 1985. In the interview, Kline, a professor in the Department of Business Education at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota, discussed the changes that occurred within the instruction of business education between 1953 and 1985. Furthermore, Kline noted changes and continuities in the areas of instruction, personal goals, duties, rewards, frustrations, professional organizations, and community expectations. The interview concluded with Kline providing advice for beginning business education teachers. This oral history interview was conducted as a requirement for a course entitled History of Education in American Culture at Mankato State University in Mankato, Minnesota.
